Latinos en Movimiento (LEM)

The National Council of La Raza (NCLR), in partnership with the America On the Move (AOM) Foundation Promoting Healthy Eating and Active Living, and with support from the PepsiCo Corporate Fund, proposed the development of a two-phase national project using promotores de salud (lay health promoters) to mobilized Latino communities around the importance of sound nutrition and active living habits. In addition, NCLR and AOM will work together to design and create a culturally adapted version of the AOM website. AOM will manage and maintain the site’s content, in a section made available in collaboration with NCLR, on its existing website.

The program America On the Move strives to support and sustain healthy eating and active living habits by Inspiring Americans to engage in fun, simple ways to become more active, eat more healthfully and, as result, achieve and maintain a healthy weight.
