In her own words, NCLR President and CEO Janet Murguía explains why NCLR decided to pull the 2009 NCLR Annual Conference out of Kansas City if a park board member and active member of the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps does not resign. NCLR does not want Ms. Semler to resign because we have a difference in opinion about immigration reform; NCLR wants her to resign because the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps is an extremist group which espouses hate and vigilantism.
