Summary

Much is being said around the country about the growing size and influence of Hispanic Americans on America’s economic, social, and political life. In an election year in which Latino voters are highly visible in several key electoral states, these issues are drawn into sharper focus, raising a variety of key questions: What are the most important issues to the Latino community? Do Latinos feel these issues are being addressed in the 2004 election campaign? How unified is the Hispanic vote? Is Spanish the key to reaching Latino voters? These are some of the questions that are addressed in a new poll from the National Council of La Raza and Zogby International.
