NCLR PRESIDENT TO DELIVER KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT TAMACC LUNCHEONHouston, TX – Janet Murguia, President and CEO of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S., will deliver the keynote address at the Women’s Luncheon of the 30th Annual Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC) Convention and Business Expo. The luncheon will take place Friday, July 29 in the Imperial Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Houston beginning at 12:00 Noon. Murguia will discuss the role of Hispanic women in America’s future as well as the work of Houston area NCLR affiliates such as Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans (AAMA), AAMA Community Development Corporation, D.R.A.W. Academy, Galaviz Academy, Housing Opportunities for Houston, Inc., Houston Community Services, Houston Esperanza, KIPP Houston High School, Latino Learning Center, and the Tejano Center for Community Concerns (TCCC).
