Center for Hispanic Policy and Advocacy
Founded in 1986, the Center for Hispanic Policy and Advocacy (CHisPA) offers social, economic, political, and educational services to Rhode Island's Latino community. CHisPA's projects include a Community Leadership Development Initiative; the Bridge School, an alternative educational program for high-risk students; an urban Promotores de Salud Model program; Project CASA, a Latino homeownership program; and management of the Juanita Sanchez Multiservice Center. CHisPA also provides technical assistance to emerging grassroots groups, conducts research and policy analysis, and advocates on behalf of Rhode Island Latinos. |
