Founded in 1976, the California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) is a statewide membership nonprofit association. The mission is to promote and support excellence in education for all in California. CABE has an annual conference for teachers, parents, administrators, para-educators, the community, and policy-makers with an emphasis on outstanding practices in the education of English Language Learners. CABE also organizes five parent/para-educator conferences, which provide various materials, such as publications on bilingual education, newsletters, and a magazine.
