Parent Institute for Quality Education
The Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) was established in 1987 to assist in educating low-income and limited-English-speaking families of southern California on the importance of participating in the education of their children. PIQE training sessions empower parents to work on behalf of their children to transform their educational, social, and economic opportunities and quality of life. The PIQE nine-session training course is guided by topics selected by the parents and includes a practicum that involves principals and school staff to interact with parents, answer questions, and acquaint parents with school resources and volunteer opportunities. |
